Yes, articles will be rejected if they do not follow the site rules listed above. However, if it is a matter of the article content being too high-level or abstract, I’m always happy to work with the writer to create a topic or version of the article that’s more accessible to the average reader.

Yes, if you prefer not to have your name published, we can publish it anonymously.

There are already many platforms available that publish articles covering current events; this just happens not to be one of them.

The Good Bit is first and foremost about knowledge sharing and citizen-to-citizen learning; and opinions and claims should not make up the root of education, whether on this platform or outside of it.

However, we absolutely do want your voice, perspective, and theories included in your writing! It’s simply that the main argument/purpose of your article should have a factual grounding, with your perspective or “take” shaped around it.

No, this is not a paid writing opportunity.

While you may say, “what’s the point then?” I want to bring you back to the mission of this website.

The Good Bit is about giving writers, researchers, and thinkers alike the chance to publish work they’ve always wanted to share, but have no place to put it. Not everyone wants or knows how to build a website, or is trying to become a professional content writer, but they still deserve a chance to share their passions and curiosities. The opportunity to share what they feel is important but is overlooked in today’s world.

That said, credit is always given to the writer (unless they prefer to stay anonymous), and while it is not paid, you will build online credibility.

If this is something you can get behind, I’m eager to see what you want to share.
